My sessions can be at your home, a location of your choice or at my
home studio. This allows for unlimited possibilities and results in
beautiful images. The only props used are the ones found in or
brought from your home. After the session, each photograph is
individually retouched and enhanced. In about two weeks you will
receive your personal online gallery.
Sessions usually take about 1-2 hours. However, it really depends on
the mood of the children and the number to be photographed. I try to
capture a combination of somewhat "posed" photographs and
fun candids.
Have a variety of outfits prepared for your session. At least one
simple outfit. A white shirt or a white dress. And some colorful
outfits with bright bold colors. Don't forget fun accessories! We
can sort through them together and see what we like. I like for the
child to pick out at least one outfit, even if it doesn't match...
it makes for a great story later in life!
Keeping children busy during a shoot can really help produce natural
moments. Normal routines can make great photographs, so I am more
than happy to slip into being part of your families day to day
activities.
Studio Policies...
On the day of your session please allow 1 to 2 hours. We ask that
just ONE parent come to the session, unless parents are to be
photographed with children. Please do not bring personal assistants,
grandmas, nannies or friends. And only siblings who are to be
photographed.
Quite simply, we would like to focus all our attention on your child
and with limited space, the distractions can limit the success of
the portrait session. We ask that you please honor this policy.
